In this parody of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, four hamsters are sent to space to deal with a blob of radioactive cosmic jello. 

They destroy the blob, but are exposed to its radiation before crashing back to Earth a' la The Fantastic Four!

The hamsters, Bruce, Chuck, Jackie, and Clint, become anthropomorphized and learn martial arts under Master Lock and others in the Himalayas.

They were the most successful of the many parodies of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Book One

Book Two
The hamsters get in various hijinks then decide to become action heroes, enforcing society's moral code, and buy lots of advanced weaponry.  They blow up a porn shop, then they see a woman undressing in public some distance away, and decide to make an example of her.  After being chased by the police, they use plastique to blow her up.  This "woman" which they blow up turns out to be the Statue of Liberty.

Book Three
We finally see what happens with the 10' cockroaches, as Chuck beats them to a literal pulp. Myron the cabdriver finds him and tells him what the others did (blow up the Statue of Liberty!).  Meanwhile, the others try to escape the long arm of the law, but accidentally run directly into a police station. They are tried and quickly sentenced and processed, all with continual misunderstandings and antics. They experience all the worst possible aspects of jail life, including an attempted haircut for the mohawked Clint, and dog meat for dinner.

Book Four
The hamsters leave New York and travel into the backwoods in order to escape the law.  They stop off at a liquor store, but it is late at night and it's closed. Clint breaks in, planning to leave money for the food and the door. However, he Chuck and Bruce are interrupted by the store owners, who are flagrant racists and think the hamsters are African-Americans.
