Ambush Bug is a well-meaning but incompetent adventurer who vaguely fights crime and probably suffers from mental illness.

His powers include teleportation and dumb luck, as well as awareness of the fourth wall.

Cheeks, the Toy Wonder is his stuffed sidekick and his arch-nemesis is a sock named Argh!Yle.

He has been a member of the Doom Patrol , the Amber Butane Corps, the Uh-Oh Squad and a temporary member of the Justice League.

Formerly married to Dumb Bunny of the Inferior Five, but he was drunk at the time.

Ambush Bug was created by Keith Giffen, first appearing in DC Comics Presents #52. 

Now (Finally) he has made it into his own comic!

In this issue we get a couple of stories, one that starts off with a decapitation. Where the Bug has to take down a hulk of a villain. Also a story involving the theft of socks around the city. There are also assorted one page gags, and finally, as promised for three issues, we get the Ambush Bug vs. Darkseid.

Not only does Cheeks the Wonder Toy return, but he does so as a cannibalistic zombie. As the city notices stuffed animals and dolls everywhere are viciously attacked and eaten, it is the "Night Of The Living Dolls". Also a whole lot of one page gas. And a promise of a showdown between Ambush Bug and the Joker.
