Meanwhile Aquaman is flying on a private jet, where he soon arrives at the U.N. where he is chastised by the King of Poseidonis over his actions against Nicodemus in New York. He is then called in to deal with the the Sea Devils environmental terrorism, despite Aquaman's skepticism that they would not do that .

Aquaman lays at the bottom of the river, having a heart attack as Biff Bailey jumps in to save the hero. Aquaman then confronts Dr. Percy over why he can no longer breathe the purified water, and only being capable of breathing oxygen. Meanwhile the oil company responsible deploys a cadre of Oulandian soldiers to kill the Sea Devils and Aquaman, while blocking all transmissions to prevent the public from seeing the disaster. Aquaman then defeats the soldiers in the water, before utilizing his telepathy in a new way to call in birds to aid the Devils.

The issue starts off with a dinosaur exploring the wreckage of the Titanic, before setting off to hunt for food. While in New York, Aquaman is finally listening to Mission's suggestion to see a S.T.A.R. Labs doctor, who questions Aquaman's constant injuries, which could be causing his emotional state prescribing him a sedative and improving his diet to heal.

Aquaman has returned home, only to stop an attack on a fellow Atlantean by three more Atlanteans all for his coral, which has become scarce with King Thesily's decree that they can no longer leave the city. The King then informs Aquaman of his being stripped of his position of ambassador, due to all of his actions there. Aquaman then finds Vulko in his struggle to live following his being removed from the council, following his recent injuries.

The issue starts off with two boys in a hospital discussing their favorite superheroes, with one boy deciding to seek out Aquaman and Poseidonis in the hopes the doctors of Atlantis can cure him. The kid then begins a journey hitchhiking with strangers to the lake, with each one telling him a story of their encounter with Aquaman, but believes each to be lies.
